Tardis Subsystems and Upgrades
This article outlines the concept of subsystems and upgrades, essential components to one's Tardis.
Subsystems
A Tardis Sub-system is a component of the Tardis that allows it to perform certain operations. The Tardis may require one or more subsystems to perform a task.
Subsystems take damage during their use as long as they are installed.
The durability of subsystems can be increased be adding Unbreaking and/or Mending Enchantments to them via an Anvil.
Subsystems also have types.
- Essential means they are required for the Tardis to fly. The console block will produce sparks and spark sounds when essential subsystems are under 30% of its total durability. (Version 1.4+)
- Optional means the subsystem is not required for flight.

Upgrades
Upgrades are addons users can install to extend the abilities of existing subsystems. Upgrades will work immediately as soon as they are installed. They do not take any damage during use and thus, do not require repairing.
Each upgrade requires one or more sub systems to be installed for the Upgrade to continue to operate.
